Logo designed for a local Maryland electric company, State Line Electric LLC!
Wanting to keep the Maryland theme, we opted for the state colors of black, gold, red, and white.
The client requested that the state outline be used in some way. To move the viewer's eye around the design, I played with the shape to create an electrical plug that wrapped everything up nicely.
Crisp, clean lines were favored, so we opted for a very minimal, easy to read type that fit nicely inside the established shape.
Below are the initial designs that were sent to the client.
The left image did not align exactly with the client's job description, so was a no-go.
The image on the right was the first draft of the final logo, the positioning of the plug and type differing slightly.
